Works progressing well on site at our residential scheme at Doncaster’s Lakeside for Lovell.
A rainy day on site does not detract from the beautiful setting, adjacent to the Lake, as preparations are made for completion of the first phase this summer. Its been great to hear about the reservations coming in, and see the development well under way on site. The project consists of 147 2, 3, and 4 bedroom dwelling houses comprising of both private sale and affordable tenure properties. Lakeside is considered to be one of Doncaster’s prime real estate areas, the large man-made lake is surrounded by a mixture of residential and commercial developments accompanied by established leisure uses including a cinema complex, a number of restaurants, along with Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust’s ‘The Dome’ located within the vicinity. A high quality urban environment has been key to the delivery of the scheme. An area of proposed public open space incorporating a trim-trail to complement the existing public amenity is to be located to the South of the scheme, adjacent to the lake, along with new visitor parking. Further open space amenity to the development will be provided through additional areas of public open space which have been carefully designed into the scheme, which includes an area of woodland and newly proposed areas of landscaping. Niemen Architects has played a key role in this project involved in preparation of architectural information for town planning including negotiations throughout the planning approvals process through to working drawings on site.
